Welcome to Makeup by Sem. By continuing to browse and use this website, or by proceeding with a booking, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. The term 'Makeup by Sem', 'us' or 'we' refers to Semone Ricardo (ABN 69 011 246 563). The term 'you' refers to the client, user, or viewer.

Bookings & Deposits
— The $90 deposit is deducted from your total service fee on the day of the appointment.
— For 1:1 Glam Lessons and MUA Mentoring sessions, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and is deducted
from the total on the day
— For Bridal bookings, a 50% deposit is required to secure both the trial and the wedding date. This is deducted from
the total balance on the wedding day.
— Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances including cancellations, reschedules, or no-shows.
— Deposits are non-transferable — they cannot be moved to a different date or transferred to another client.
— You will receive a confirmation email with your booking details once the deposit has been received.
— Sem reserves the right to refuse future bookings from clients who repeatedly cancel or fail to attend.
A non-refundable deposit of $90 is required to secure all appointments. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received in full.

Accepted payment methods:
— Eftpos — accepted with a 2% surcharge applied to the total transaction amount.
— Cash — accepted with no surcharge
— Afterpay — not accepted
Eftpos Surcharge: A 2% surcharge applies to all card payments to cover merchant processing fees. To avoid the surcharge, cash payment is welcome.
The remaining balance (after deposit) is due in full on the day of the appointment after service.

— All booking deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of the reason for cancellation.
— Cancellations must be made a minimum of 48 hours prior to the appointment by
emailing makeupbysemone@gmail.com.
— In the event of a no-show, the full deposit is forfeited and no reschedule will be offered without a new deposit.
— If a reschedule is required, please provide as much notice as possible. Reschedules are at Sem's discretion and
subject to availability.
— Should Sem need to cancel due to illness or emergency, a full deposit refund or reschedule will be offered.

— Gift cards must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
— Gift cards are strictly non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash under any circumstances.
— Any remaining balance after a service cannot be refunded as cash but may be applied to a future booking.
— Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.
— Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Location & Travel
All standard appointments are located at Sem's studio:

Le Beau Studio
— Bookings outside the studio that require travel must be negotiated via email at makeupbysemone@gmail.com.
— Travel fees apply for all on-location bookings. Fees are confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
— On-location bridal services are available throughout Brisbane and surrounding regions.

— A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure all 1:1 lesson and mentoring bookings — this is $250 for the Glam Lesson ($500 total) and
$300 for MUA Mentoring ($600 total).
— 1:1 Makeup Lesson— $500 per session. Designed for individuals wanting to learn professional makeup techniques tailored to their own features and
skill level.
— 1:1 Makeup Artist Mentoring— $600 per session. Designed for working or aspiring makeup artists wanting to develop industry-level skills, client
communication, and business knowledge.
— Sessions are held at Le Beau Studio, Cannon Hill, and are by appointment only.
— The remaining balance is due in full on the day of the session prior to commencement.
— Cancellations must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance. The deposit is non-refundable regardless of the reason for cancellation.
— Session content is tailored to each individual client. Results will vary depending on prior experience, skill level, and engagement during the
session.
— All intellectual property, techniques, and materials shared during sessions remain the property of Semone Ricardo and may not be reproduced or distributed without written consent.

1:1 Lessons
The following terms apply specifically to 1:1 lesson and mentoring bookings.

— A bridal trial is required before a wedding day booking is confirmed. The trial is priced at $220.
— A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure both the trial and the wedding date. The deposit is deducted from the total balance on the wedding
day.
— Bridal pricing is individually quoted and confirmed in writing prior to the trial appointment.
— Cancellation will forfeit the full deposit.
— Additional artists may be arranged for larger bridal parties to ensure a seamless timeline — discussed at the time of booking.
— Travel fees apply for on-location wedding day services and are confirmed in writing prior to the booking.

Allergies & Skin Conditions
— Known allergies to makeup products, ingredients, or adhesives
— Existing skin conditions including eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea, or similar
— Any medical conditions, health issues, or sensitivities that may affect the application of makeup
— Any contagious illness or infection including conjunctivitis, cold sores, rashes, warts, or flu
You are required to notify Semone Ricardo prior to any scheduled appointment or trial of any information relevant to the following:
Important: Makeup services cannot and will not be performed if a client presents with a contagious sickness or infection. As it is the client's responsibility to notify Makeup by Sem of any sensitivities, illnesses, or allergies prior to the appointment, Semone Ricardo will not be held responsible for any reactions that may occur as a result of undisclosed conditions.

— Makeup by Sem reserves the right to refuse service to any client or bridal party member who displays inappropriate, abusive, or threatening behaviour.
— If services are refused due to inappropriate behaviour, the booking feewill not be refunded as it covers the loss of the appointment.
— Clients must arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in reduced service time with no adjustment to the fee.
— Please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin unless otherwise advised.
— Extra guests are not permittedat the studio unless prior arrangement has been made, as space is limited.
— Sem's studio is a shared professional space — clients are asked to be respectful of the environment and other clients.

General & Liability
— Your use of any information or services on this website is entirely at your own risk.
— This website contains material owned by or licensed to Makeup by Sem including design, layout, appearance, and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited without written consent.
— Makeup by Sem accepts no liability for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings at the studio.
— Results may vary depending on skin type, preparation, and individual factors outside of Sem's control.
— These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
— You may not create a link to this website from another website or document without Makeup by Sem's prior written consent.
